Aroma: Sweet, sharp with acidic nuances. On the finish, in the descending phase of the smoke, the aroma is almond with notes of vanilla.
History and traditions: Benzoin was used in ancient times to attract luck and money, so much so that in merchants' shops it was common practice to keep it near the till as a symbol of good luck. It is traditionally associated with Venus.
Information: Benzoin from Siam is more valuable than Sumatra Benzoin, with a classic amber color tending towards orange and a sharp, almondy scent.
