History and traditions: For thousands of years it has been used as a fundamental ingredient for Indian incense blends and for its medicinal properties. Dragon's Blood has been used for a long time in rituals to neutralize negative energies as it is considered a protective substance and, if mixed with other incense, capable of enhancing their purifying power.
Information: Dragon's Blood is a very fine resin of a dark red color, produced by numerous species of plants common in tropical or subtropical areas. A precious red paint is obtained from Dragon's Blood, used to refine musical instruments (violins in particular) and in the restoration of furniture. Almost odorless in the form of resin, when burned it gives off a very strong and characteristic scent.
