History and traditions: Ambrette or abelmosco is a small plant that grows spontaneously in India and is cultivated in many tropical areas. The seeds are used to flavor and an oil (ambrette) is extracted from them, used in perfumery. In ancient traditions they were believed to promote dreams.
Information: When Ambrette seeds are burned, they release a spicy and warm aroma that recalls the scent of musk.
